1. Can I enroll in a workshop at the student rate of $30? No, workshops are only available at the $200 rate. The $125 no-workshop rate and the $30 student rate gain admission to all other readings, craft talks, agent seminars, and panel discussions.

2. Can I enroll in more than one workshop? No, only 1 workshop comes with your $200 registration. During the hours when that workshop isn't meeting, you'll have a variety of readings, panels, and craft talks to choose from, as shown in the itinerary here.

3. Can I be placed on a waiting list for the sold-out workshop that I want? Yes. If your workshop is sold out and you don't want to attend any other workshop, you should purchase $125 general admission/no workshop and email with your waitlist request. If your first-choice workshop is sold out but you do want to secure a spot in different workshop, you should purchase $200 general admission, enroll in that other workshop, and email with your waitlist request.

4. Can I be placed on a waiting list for the agent meetings? Yes. If you'd like to be waitlisted for the 15-minute agent meetings, you should purchase general admission of $125/$200 and email your waitlist request to If a spot becomes available, you may pay the additional fee in a separate transaction.

5. How do I know if I'm ready to meet with a literary agent? It is important to meet with a literary agent only after your manuscript is ready, and readiness varies by genre: 1) Fiction is sold based on a completed manuscript. You should not meet with a literary agent until your novel or story collection is complete. 2) Nonfiction is sold based on a sample chapter and book outline. 3) Poetry is rarely represented by literary agents, so please do not enroll in this option for a poetry manuscript.

6. Can I get a refund? Please see our refund policy at the bottom of this page.

7. Are meals included with my ticket? Continental breakfasts of coffee, tea, pastries, and fruit on Friday morning and Saturday morning are included with your ticket. Our Writers Reception offers appetizers and wine and requires purchase with your registration. To purchase this option in a separate transaction, please use this link.
